Lil' Texas makes hardcore dance music - extremely fast, intense electronic beats that most genres joke about being too aggressive for anyone to get into. But that's what makes their path interesting. Hardcore sits in this weird spot in dance music. Most DJs keep it off the main stages - it's too aggressive, too intense for the typical crowd. But that's exactly where Lil' Texas saw their shot. Instead of fighting it, they pushed even harder into what made the sound different.
A Unique Genre Lane
While everyone in dance music was fighting for the same popular lanes, hardcore was just sitting there untouched. Moving from Texas to LA, they saw all this open space that everyone else was ignoring. A sound people called "too niche" became their biggest advantage.

Leveraging Strengths
They're smart about using their strengths. Good looking guy in great shape, so getting people horned up works well on social - that's exactly what we talked about in that LAMES analysis, leveraging your natural advantages. But he also talks openly about getting sober through fitness, and tons of people connect with that journey. They've built something meaningful by making their fitness and sobriety story part of their core content, turning what could be standard thirst traps into a deeper connection with their audience.
While they've been in the scene since 2019, something shifted in the last couple years when they really figured out TikTok. The whole hardcore-meets-cowboy thing could've been dismissed as jumping on the Western trend after Lil Nas X, but they've turned it into something uniquely theirs. Since dialing in their TikTok approach, their growth has just been climbing steadily upward.
